Located only 20 feet off a busy state route, the Dublin community saw us day by day transform an overgrown, desolate lot into a vibrant cornerstone for healthy recovery. And today, the craftsmanship and quality that went into this project are visible to all who pass by. Heartland of Dublin not only welcomes the local residents who need it most but is also a welcome addition to a thriving and picturesque community.

Although our team encountered a series of obstacles during this new construction project, as every construction project has, we took every opportunity to demonstrate the depth of our leadership and our commitment to company values. Heartland’s fast-paced schedule could have intimidated other builders, but we used it as extra fuel to keep our team working as efficiently as possible. Our ultimate goal was to build a facility that would exceed expectations – including management, quality, and value. We wanted to deliver more than just a great building, but a great building experience from beginning to end.

In the words of our client, the success of Heartland of Dublin’s construction process was “the exception rather than the rule.” Their perception was that construction projects always involved a lot of hiccups and headaches day after day. The Heartland team had prepared themselves for this type of experience. Little did they know, by choosing Marker as their building partner, they would be able to look back at the construction process fondly for years to come. We worked diligently to counter their negative construction perception from day one through project close-out. By the end of the project, Mike Koscelnik, Senior Project Manager at HCR ManorCare (HCR), would describe Heartland as a “well-run, process-oriented project that surpassed [their] expectations.”

The Heartland project exceeded expectations across the board – from the client, to the City, to the community. Our team fostered a unified, goal-driven atmosphere throughout the construction process. This commitment to teamwork and transparent communication allowed us to overcome many unforeseen obstacles that could have derailed the project’s success. We countered every challenge with responsive solutions and a passionate drive to deliver a project that would aid the community, both in its short-term needs and long-term city development.
