PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Marker Construction is the Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) for the construction of three new fire stations for the City of Springfield. These projects will be named and located as indicated below:
Kenton Street Fire Station (~12,420 GSF)

For bidding purposes, the base bid will be the Kenton Street Fire Station. Bidders will have the opportunity to provide proposals for the Zischler Street and/or S. Charleston Pike facilities as alternates to their proposal on the Kenton Street station. Bidders are not required to submit pricing for multiple stations.
The Civil documents for all three stations have been developed to a 100% CD level. The Kenton Street Station building documents have been developed to a 100% CD level, while the Zischler Street and S. Charleston Pike building drawings have been developed to a 75% CD level.

Bids are due Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 3pm EST.

Project Schedule
It is anticipated that these project will be constructed sequentially starting with the Zischler Street station in March of 2024 with start dates for the other two stations lagging by one month each. As placeholders, we are projecting start dates for each station as summarized below:
Zischler Street: March 4, 2024
Kenton Street: April 1, 2024
Charleston Pike: May 1, 2024

Other Notes
This project is Tax-Exempt and is subject to State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates.
An OPTIONAL virtual pre-bid meeting will be hosted by Marker on October 12, 2023 at 10:00 am. A link to this Microsoft Teams meeting will be distributed in a separate correspondence through the project’s Building Connected website.
