Ohio Cancer Research is a nonprofit making tremendous strides in funding individual researchers to get their innovative ideas off the ground. OCR seeks the best research projects in Ohio and provides seed money that becomes a catalyst to the researchers’ ability to get exponentially greater amounts of funding.

Each year, the organization selects a top business leader to recognize during its annual Star Award Gala, and this year OCR chose Alison as its honoree.

Associates, clients, subcontractors and partners came together for the event to celebrate her impact in the industry and community. Several leaders shared their experience in working with Alison through a testimonial tribute video, including:

Mary Rutan Hospital’s former Medical Director, Grant Varian, MD, serves on the OCR board and introduced Alison with very heartfelt accolades for the Marker family, having worked with Harold, Randy and Alison during his career at Mary Rutan.  Bill Boggess, OCR Executive Director, presented Alison with the award.

This prestigious recognition highlights Alison’s commitment to making a positive impact in our community through her leadership, philanthropy, and lifelong dedication to creating meaningful change.

Congratulations to the brilliant researchers recognized for innovation in the quest to end cancer and our leader for this great honor.
