Marker Construction recently partnered with the Logan County Landmark Preservation board and Beasley Architecture & Design to complete phase one of the historic Holland Theatre Renovation in Bellefontaine, Ohio. This $1.6M renovation and restoration of the only Dutch Atmospheric Theatre in North America now holds over 500 people, has upgraded seating, carpet, lights, sound, concessions stand, restored paneling, and new murals in the lobby theatre. Originally built in 1931, the theatre was designed by Holland-born Peter M. Husken, and the auditorium was inspired by his Dutch birth place.

The design was patented and copy righted and remains a one of a kind design. EverGreene Architectural Arts, a key subcontractor, was on staff for three months to complete the plater repairs and restorations. Marker Construction is proud to have been a part of bringing back to life this iconic community landmark. Phase 2 is underway and will be completed in early 2020.
