Many of you know Kirk Marker from the 8 years spent previously with Marker Construction. Kirk made the tough decision to leave the construction company and pursue his passion for law in 2013. During law school, Kirk was a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice Judith Ann Lanzinger at the Supreme Court of Ohio, as well as the Honorable Chief Judge Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. at the Federal District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. He also received the CALI Award for Excellence (top student) in several classes. Kirk graduated at the top of his class at Capital Law School and has spent the past three years working in the real estate and construction group at Ice Miller.
Kirk’s real estate practice has focused on real estate acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing and leasing. All of Kirk’s real estate transactions include a due diligence component identifying and curing title and environmental issues, as well as corporate due diligence including the review of operating and partnership agreements.
His previous experience with Marker, combined with his education and legal experience, make him a perfect fit to re-join as General Counsel and work closely with our development team on real estate development pursuits. Please help us welcome (back) Kirk Marker!
