Marker was proud to participate in this morning’s Top Performing Contractor’s Breakfast, which honored ABC member contractors’ achievements in safety, quality, diversity, and project excellence.
Published as a supplement to Construction Executive magazine, the lists of ABC Top Performers highlights contractors that have earned ABC’s Accredited Quality Contractor (AQC) credential for their commitment to corporate responsibility in quality, safety, talent management – including inclusion, diversity, and equity – education and community relations.
At the event, Marker was recognized for achieving the ABC Top 100 General Contractors Award as well as the Top 200 Performers Award in 2021. Additionally, President + CEO, Alison Marker, joined spokespeople from Miller Valentine, Messer, and Armcorp on the General Contractor Panel, where participants discussed the ways in which contractors can become an ABC Top Contractor, and provided practical advice to improve businesses and addressed industry challenges.
In order to be eligible for the award, Top Performers must also demonstrate world-class safety performance by achieving Gold status or higher in ABC’s STEP Safety Management System, which makes the top-performing contractors more than six times safer than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics industry average, according to ABC’s Safety Performance Report.
Through STEP, AQC, and other robust ABC programs, ABC Top Performers demonstrate they:
