Strong leadership has always been at the heart of Marker Construction’s success and growth. We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition, Erich Luichinger, who joins us as our Executive Vice President.
In his key role as Executive Vice President, Erich will be responsible for overall leadership, direction, and management of the company’s construction operations. Erich’s primary focus will be on the company’s continued growth, operational excellence, and promoting a culture of safety and quality – all with a people-centric approach.

Erich joins us with a BS in Construction Management from Michigan State University, an early career spent with Skanska, fourteen years of progressive career experience as a Project Manager, Project Executive, Vice President, and Board Member with a similar construction company in Wisconsin, experience as an Owner’s Representative for CBRE, a strong entrepreneurial flair, having owned and operated a pizza franchise (a fun tidbit to ask him about when you meet him), and having founded, built and successfully exited a real estate investment company focused on providing a better housing experience for families with limited financial resources.

Where do you live?
I live in New Albany with my amazing wife and two sons.
Favorite food?
Sushi
Where are you from originally?
I grew up in Michigan, north of Detroit (I have no allegiance to the team up north).
As an executive, what’s one thing you do to take care of yourself?
I’m passionate about fitness. I like trying new sports and activities – I recently started playing pickleball and learning lacrosse.
What book are you reading now?
I typically like to listen to audio books but will often talk about a book I “read.” Right now, I’m “reading” Never Finished by David Goggins.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
I have fun gardening even though I don’t know what I am doing most of the time. I also enjoy CrossFit and mountain biking.
What do you love about construction?
I love the opportunity to connect with so many unique business and organizational leaders. I enjoy learning about their stories, the challenges they face and what has made them successful.
